I love the way this story is written--the way all your stories are written. You somehow manage to completely get inside the heads of the characters while keeping the prose beautiful and the plot moving.
"Any other time and John was sure he would have been turned on by the outfit."
Loved that line. Not only is it telling of John's attraction to Elizabeth but it also underscores the dangerous situation that Elizabeth is in and how John knows that.
I can't wait for more.

a) it involves a baby!! yay!!
b) John is in command and it seems he's doing a good job, but also feels the burden of resposibility
c) John whishes to be the father of that child
