This is absolutely lovely! I like how you've described the reaction to Carson's death, especially with the Atlantis folk avoiding the area and the IOA's insensitive memo.
Elizabeth and John are perfectly in character—I can totally believe her feeling that way about her date with Mike—and I love how they both step into their new relationship with so much confidence.
