I like this missing scene - the fact that you address the change in Elizabeth from being very anti-guns but now realising how they need them for their mission especially.
And John wanting to protect her *grins* And they hug, and practically admit how much they care about the other ^_^

I like the idea of this. How they're trying to be honest with each other and failing...
I think you should work on the spacing, it would be easier to read if you put an extra
space between dialogue.
“And what about you?” She challenged.
“I’ve been on countless missions. I’ve faced every kind of trouble. You know I can handle this.”
“Oh, and I can’t?” She asked.

very sweet! i love when he gets protective of her. although if you've seen First Strike, Sheppard doesn't stand up too much for Elizabeth when Ellis says that Sheppard should be in charge. i didn't like that but.
