One point I have to pick up on here though - Elizabeth KNOWS Latin. She can translate Ancient. QED, she already knows what QED stands for and what it means...
Author's Response: Yeah...I did think of that. And then my Latin speaking, not math liking friends told me that they didn't know what it stood for (when I told them the words, they could translate, but they didn't know what words the letters stood for), so I decided it was close enough for me.
Also cute for someone like me who is definitely not good at math. ;)
As a math major, this was funny. ;)
