i think you could really lengthen these stories. it's a good plot line idea, but it would be so much better if you developed the story. show how elizabeth is feeling and what drives her to do such a thing... It seems very Romeo & Juliet in the ending to me... But I would definately suggest you try your hand at an actual story.

Author's Response: Input appreciated. I'm glad you liked it. I don't do character death or possibility of such very often though, least of all my favourite character, and I'm not sure I'd want to revisit this to write anything longer that might result from it. My sister pointed out that without the character death tag, the ending is fairly ambiguous as to Elizabeth's fate, but I wanted to put the warning there just to be careful.
