The way you described the Nebula was wonderful... I could fully picture it with greens and blues and reds. Can't see the Aurora Australis from where I live, but I've seen the Borealis on a trip to Alaska.

Now see, this is how season 1 should have ended. I still think they got into contact with Earth much too early and too easily. Just imagine what would have happened if they only made contact after s3... Ooh, the possibilities!!
