Great story, I watched S4 and 5 just because I couldn't bear not to finish, but it was never the same. Sorry that you're not writing anymore, fanfiction is the only place Sparky still survives but you're right it is so sad! :(
I never could watch seasons 4 -5. I felt like there was no reason to. I miss Elizabeth and John so much. They are my favorite TV couple. When I watch the old episodes and see them sharing those looks I cry for what tptb did. They made the biggest mistake trying to replace Elizabeth with Samantha. Some women are meant to lead and inspire others, which is what Dr Weir excelled at. She was the heart and soul of Atlantis. Why couldn't tptb let SPARKY BE HAPPY? NO other couple on SG1 and SGA had such magnificent chemistry. Loved your work. I will miss it.

A very touching and beautiful piece. I do agree with you about Atlantis, it is too depressing to watch and I don't think I will bother with season 5 now that Tapping is no longer going to play any significant part. I miss Elizabeth, she with John made the show. Now they all look lost, which is what you capture in this story right at the end.
