This started as a small fic idea after watching "Lifeline" and other season 4 episodes, but as I thought more about it and the plot bunnies endlessly multiplied, I realized that if I wanted to really write how John finds Elizabeth, then I should do it in novel length. I spent most of October watching and re-watching the first three seasons. I then used November to write. Updates should happen regularly since the story is written. I hope you enjoy my tale.

I know in season 4, the Genii show up, or so I heard, but this was written way before that episode aired, and frankly, after "Lifeline", S4 didn't happen for the purposes of this work of fiction. Enjoy.
