Very cool fic! I loved how they could say so much with so few words. The 'peaceful but lonely' comment was great and I really liked the description before that. Great fic!

Lovely little story. I like this take on the end to Simon and Elizabeth's relationship and I like how you wrote John and Elizabeth.

"He also noticed that you liked to hover." Lol! Very true.

Awesome story! (But then I look up at the author's name and say 'well, of course it is...') I love this way of John finding out when Elizabeth's birthday is; fascinating that Rodney of all people would know it but you make me believe it's possible.

So many great lines in this. I love Rodney's "Because Elizabeth wasn't" response and his thoughts about John and Elizabeth and how they're 'made for each other' with their denseness. But oh, poor Rodney; good on him for wanting Elizabeth to be happy. I really love the line "equations were infinitely preferable to emotions"; that's a very Rodney line and beautifully put.

This is a great story and I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you!

Wonderful story. You've caught the characters so beautifully and this scene fits in so well into canon. I love the 'burdens of command' comment. The part from "you broke your promise" to "I'll try" is absolutely brilliant; I love the dialogue and the description. Excellent story. Thank you!

Wonderful, wonderful story! I love the beginning, especially that "Every. Single. Time." And yes, that "I think you should kiss me" is *exactly* John's kind of seat-of-the-pants idiotic solution :) I love the line "It makes a warped sort of sense, Elizabeth admits, if they choose to ignore the gaping flaws in his logic." The 'you need to be closer' echoing of the episode is a nice touch. Great, great story! I loved it.

Brilliant! I love that Rodney managed to hoodwink John so completely - and I love the result! I bet Elizabeth isn't complaining either :) This story is a lot of fun, yet the ending was beautifully fluffy; I love the "But you are different" stuff. Favourite line "If by coming here and talk you mean hide in my quarters and sulk, than yeah."

Great story, I loved it!

Really nice story. I love this version of what John was thinking through the episodes, I think you did a great job of capturing his character. I particularly liked the line "Just before the Daedalus beams him aboard, he regrets not kissing her" but my favourite line is the beautiful "After all this time he still hasn't learnt how anyone could say no to her." That's just wonderful.

I enjoyed that. I much prefer this story of Elizabeth's wanderings than the one TPTB gave us. Ronon's comment about de-ascending naked was hilarious :) And although I have actually started to like Woolsey, I enjoyed watching everyone decide how to give him the runaround. It's great to have Elizabeth home again!

Wow. Just seriously *wow*. This is such an amazing beginning to the story. I love John's half-remembered memories (or whatever you want to call them) of the stargate. But what I really and absolutely love is how you write John and how you write John and Elizabeth together. You've caught both characters so beautifully and I love the way they interact. There just aren't words for how amazing this story is.

Awesome fic. In all ways awesome. I love how you write these characters, you have captured them perfectly. And I spent most of the story grinning like an idiot because they're just so darn cute :)

Watching Firefly was a nice touch and I loved the line “Elizabeth, I think you may be perfect" as well as John's reaction to what he said. The analysis of their Atlantis family was cool (I love Ronon as 'scary cousin'). Rodney's cameo was great and I love that John managed to turn being dosed with the herb into an opportunity to raid Rodney's room (and short-sheet the bed; that's just brilliant!).

So, yeah, wonderful fic that was heaps of fun and I'm very glad to have read. Thanks for writing it!

Author's Response: Wow, thank-you! That's very encouraging (especially hearing that you found the characters in-character) and I'm glad to have made you grin. =)

Very very cool. I love how you describe their heat and discomfort so vividly I can almost feel it myself (and considering it has just turned winter here, that's an accomplishment!). The arguments over who drinks the water are just so *them* it's perfect. I love the bit about the citrus shampoo and the possibility it's a McKay-deterrent! The line "Light smacks him in the face" is such a wonderful description of the effect of light on dark-adapted eyes that I am almost jealous :) The conversation they have in the aftermath on the balcony is brilliant; not a lot is actually said out loud yet such a lot is said. And I love the teasing (and embarrassment) about the ring! A lovely, fun note to end on.

In short, this is a wonderful, wonderful fic. Thank you for writing it!

I love how Carson teases Elizabeth in the first scene and her protest that she’s not standing under the mistletoe – except that she is. I love even more John’s request to ‘test’ the mistletoe; because, right, you never know when that pesky mistletoe’ll misfunction...

“Melodramatic snootiness seemed to be endemic on this particular planet.” To be honest, I don’t think ‘endemic’ is quite the right word since the snootiness is also found elsewhere, but I love this line. It made me laugh out loud (and I am now glad I am alone in the room...). All John’s thoughts were great, though, from getting lost in the memory of kissing Elizabeth to the annoyance about being kidnapped on Christmas.

You know, I snickered so many times through this. From the fact that John heard every word of the negotiation and still didn’t know how she did it (and how Elizabeth had them eating out of her hand was brilliant; I love diplomat!Elizabeth), to leaving Carson to deal with Rodney’s list of complaints and Ronon trying to make a weapon from a spoon. And of course the ‘gazing besottedly’ at each other after Elizabeth asked John to dinner. Rodney’s fangirl got another laugh!

I really enjoyed this story. You have all the characters down pat; I can see them doing all of this, from John’s manic mistletoe hanging to Elizabeth deciding to go for it. A great mix of humour and fluff, too. Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: Thank-you for reviewing! Hearing that the fluff is in character is a wonderful compliment. =) I love that 'testing' the mistletoe is clichéd as, yet still something John would do (fortunately). Apparently endemic can mean 'regularly found' as well as 'native to,' but I can see that it's a little ambiguous in that sentence. I so glad to hear you liked that line though! It's a relief to know other people have laughed at the bits that are meant to be funny. ;-) Glad you enjoyed it!

This is a brilliant story! It flows so beautifully and I love the way you used the different meals to tell the story. Elizabeth's original dismissal of the rumours leading through to the final 'everyone assumed correctly' is great. And I can seriously see Elizabeth locking herself down for a couple of months while she tries to ignore the rumours (she's very stubborn!). I absolutely love the bit where John's starting at his hands as if they've betrayed him; I've read this story three times now and that bit always makes me laugh. Anyway, this is just awesome, and it made me grin. You really know how to capture these characters on paper. Thanks for writing!

I have much love for this story :) It's so cool that you used the holo-room, which was pretty much forgotten about about it served its plot!device role - and you used it so well! I love the idea of John setting up an obstacle course.

It's so cool that it's not some big story of how they got together, but just an accident. I love the description in this, and the slow, quiet way John and Elizabeth come to grips with having bumped into each other and then don't let go. The description of John's look is great, especially with the other times Elizabeth's seen it (my favourite is the serenade in the cafeteria, but the giggling goodnight made me grin).

The hologram interrupting them is laugh-out-loud funny (and "the Ancient version of the talking paperclip" cracked me up; I loathed that paperclip!). I also like how Elizabeth decides that 'talk' and 'slow down' don't need to be said and moves on to going somewhere more private. Perfect!

You may have guessed from the above, but I loved this story! Please procrastinate in this fashion more often :) Thanks for writing!
